NUION Omega 3

Alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), the main component of flaxseed oil, belongs to the group of essential unsaturated omega-3 fatty acids. This means it cannot be synthesized in sufficient amounts by the human body and must be supplied through the diet. ALA serves as the precursor for longer-chain omega-3 fatty acids, such as EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid), which can be produced in the body to a limited extent through metabolic conversion.

One of the most important functions of alpha-linolenic acid is maintaining normal blood cholesterol levels, with a beneficial effect occurring at an intake of 2 g of ALA per day.

Vitamin E is a fat-soluble vitamin that acts as an antioxidant, helping to protect cells from oxidative stress. The combination of vitamin E with omega-3 fatty acids in a single formula is commonly used in dietary supplements, since vitamin E helps protect unsaturated fatty acids from oxidation.
