Ashwagandha CALM + POWER Set

Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera), also known as "Indian ginseng" or "winter cherry", is one of the best-known plants used in traditional Ayurvedic medicine. Its most valuable components are withanolides – natural plant compounds belonging to the group of steroidal lactones, which have been the subject of intensive research in phytochemistry, biochemistry, and human physiology for many years. Current research examines, among other things, the role of ashwagandha extract in relation to the functioning of the nervous system, the body's adaptive processes, cognitive function, physical activity, and the maintenance of oxidation-reduction balance.

Ashwagandha CALM combines standardized KSM-66 Ashwagandha® extract with magnesium, taurine, zinc, lutein, and biotin. This specially selected composition includes ingredients frequently used in products intended for people leading an intense lifestyle and exposed to daily mental and physical strain. Each ingredient performs a distinct biochemical function and participates in different metabolic processes in the body.

Taurine is a naturally occurring amino acid derivative present, among other places, in the brain, heart muscle, and skeletal muscles. It takes part in numerous cellular processes and is the subject of research concerning its role in the functioning of the nervous system and the maintenance of cellular ionic balance. Magnesium, on the other hand, helps in the normal function of the nervous system and muscles, contributes to normal energy metabolism, and helps reduce tiredness and fatigue.

The formula has also been supplemented with zinc, which helps in the normal function of the immune system and helps protect cells from oxidative stress. Biotin contributes to the normal function of the nervous system and helps maintain healthy skin, while lutein is a natural carotenoid widely found in plants and is the subject of numerous studies concerning its biological properties.

The KSM-66 Ashwagandha® used in this product is one of the most extensively researched and standardized forms of ashwagandha root extract. It is obtained using a patented extraction process that preserves the characteristic profile of naturally occurring withanolides while ensuring a high degree of raw material standardization.
